The increasing commercialization of sport means a growing job market for well-educated sport managers. Graduates of the M.Sc. Sport Management are qualified for top-level management positions in all kinds of sport organizations. The program is geared specifically to providing students with the demanding knowledge base and analytical skills to get ahead in sport business. Students can enter into leadership positions in general sport management as well as in areas such as strategy, marketing, HRM, finance, and development and they are also qualified for consulting as well as academic (e.g., doctoral degree) and commercial research. Hence, graduates have many opportunities to show and apply their motivation and capabilities as leaders in various business organizations.

The degree program meets the demands of the job market as it educates highly motivated and capable professionals in three main sectors of sports business, namely a) management of and in sport organizations, b) consultancy, and c) academic and commercial research. In fact, the alumni of the M.Sc. Sport Management work or have worked at very diverse employers all around the field of sport, as for example:
