Stefanie Klatt (née Hüttermann) is a professor of training and movement science in sports games. Since 2017, she has headed the Department of Cognition- and Sports Games Research at the Institute of Exercise Training and Sport Informatics. Her main topics are the performance-oriented analysis and optimisation of training and movement processes, taking into account cognitive factors in sports games. In 2015, she received the Reinhard-Daugs Promotion Prize of the DVS Sports Motorics Section, the DVS Publication Prize and the Karl Hofmann Research Prize for special research achievements, and in 2016 the DOSB Science Prize. In 2020, she was also appointed as an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Brighton for outstanding scientific achievements. In addition to her academic career, Stefanie Klatt has played on the highest national and international beach volleyball tour for many years and holds the highest coaching licence in this sport.
