Effects of Visuomotor Calibration

The Institute of Exercise Training and Sport Informatics is looking for experts and non-experts alike in both hammering and darts throwing to investigate how visual perception affects motor calibration. Do You Have Little/No Experience with Darts and Hammering? We want you!

For our study “Effects of Visuomotor Calibration” to help us understand how visual perception affects motor calibration, we are conducting a study that involves a repeated series of throwing darts and hitting a hammer at a target mounted on the wall. We are looking for both experts and non-experts alike in both hammering and darts throwing for this research. The study is open to anybody above 18 years of age who are not predisposed to overuse injuries in their dominant arm.

The study takes place here at the German Sports University in IG-2. If you are interested in participating, please email David “Dirk” Smith at with “Calibration Study” in the subject line to set up a time!
