Career Prospects

The Certificate Programme is aimed at graduates and professionals who are interested in international development work. The participants of the Programme are supported to qualify for the professional field of international sport-related development programmes, so that they can work at NGO’s, Ministries and Organisations worldwide.

The various parts of the Programme reflect the different key activities, which the wide-ranging field of work offers.

In the course„Inclusive Development Through Sport“ international experts and practioners give insight into their fields of work. The sociologists, psychologists, social workers and coaches teach theoretical and practical units in which the participants learn how to act in this field of work and to implement the course content.

The seminar entitled „Capacity Building in ‘Sport for Development’: Concepts, Policies, and Project Management“ gives participants an introduction into international development theories and core methods (quantitative and qualitative) required for an academic accompaniment of sport-related development programmes. Conceptual approaches, framework conditions concerning (sport) development and important stakeholders as well as core methods of project management of sport-related development programmes are discussed.

Doing a placement with a national or international NGO or a state institution enables the participants to step straight into the field of work and to put their theoretical and practical expertise into action.
