Registration for workshop "Spirit of Football"

The Institute of European Sport Development and Leisure Studies organizes during the winter term 2019/2020 in cooperation with Engagement Global e.V., several events related to topics such as inequality and discrimination in sports media, the sustainable production of sports equipment or sport in the context of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Furthermore, a workshop with Andrew Aris (Spirit of football) will be offered from the 21st to the 23rd of November.

Spirit of Football (SoF) is a non-profit organization that uses football to bring democratic, integrative values into everyday life and spread the joy of playing together. The core of the workshop is to sensitize and train students for the topic of sustainable development. In particular, the aim is to teach creative sports-based methods on the subject of sustainability, to get to know the 17 SDGs and to understand the "FairPlay Rules" issued by SoF.

The workshop will kick off with the prize-winning documentary film "Spirit of the Ball" at the 21st November at 18.30 pm (MUFO, Musisches Forum).

The theory/practice workshop with Andrew Aris will take place at the 22nd November (3-7 pm) and 23rd November (9am-4pm) in seminar room 50 and hall 6: 

22. November, 15.00 – 19.00 pm

1. Intro: 3 – 4 pm (SR50)

2. Teambuilding: 4-4.30 pm (SR50)
3. FairPlay Football: 5-7 pm (Hall 6)

 

23. November 9 am – 16.00 pm (SR50)

1. Where do you play?: 9-10 am

2. World Café: 10-11 am
3. Fair-Play Theater: 11.30 am – 1 pm
4. Ice-berg: 2-3 pm

5. Feedback: 3-4 pm

The workshop will be offered free of charge and will be held in English. The maximum number of participants is 24.
