Toolkit for Advocacy in Sports and Society

Our institute is introducing a new toolkit from the EU-funded PASS project, which supports S4D organizations in going beyond mere program implementation and strengthening their role in political advocacy.

The toolkit offers practical support in analyzing relevant stakeholders, understanding political decision-making processes, and developing sustainable advocacy strategies.

The project findings reveal significant needs in the sector: Over 70% of the organizations surveyed report a lack of financial and material resources for advocacy work, and around 45% also cite gaps in knowledge and skills.

Against this backdrop, the toolkit provides concrete tools to address these challenges and empower sports organizations to strategically expand their political influence—for example, in the area of access to sports for marginalized groups or the integration of physical activity into national health policies.
