iLEAP Workshop supported by the IOC young leaders

On 11th and 12th December 2022, a total of 22 young leaders, including persons with disabilities, and 5 moderators participated in the Inclusive Leadership Program (iLEAP) Workshop, an online event supported by the Malaysian Olympians Association and IOC Young Leaders.

Tania Lee, who was the first Malaysian to be selected as the IOC Young Leaders Programme 2021 2024 led the project. It aimed to nurture young and competent leaders, as well as to provide opportunity for athletes with disabilities to experience a leadership workshop.

This program focused on 4 cores contents: sport values, healthy living, life skills, and social competency. Each core was led by speakers and professionals in their field. Hilla Davidov, Ph.D. candidate at the Institute of Sport History, was part of this committee and led the sport values session together with Renana Neidman. For the activities, young leaders were divided into 4 value-based groups: Excellence, Respect, Friendship, and Fair Play, where these values were also being discussed.

This program concluded with an inspiring session by the guest speaker The Honorable Senator Datuk Ras Adiba (Malaysia).
