Bridging the Gap between Science and Practice

The 35th International Conference on Biomechanics in Sports was held in Cologne, Germany from June 14th until June 18th on the campus of the German Sport University of Cologne. Close to 500 scientists and technicians from 40 countries followed a world-class program on Sports Biomechanics.

The mission of the International Society of Biomechanics in Sports (ISBS) is bridging the gap between scientists and sports practitioners, athletes and coaches. The scientific program will be very close to sports practice.

Six worldwide recognized keynote speakers and interesting up-to-date topics in five applied sessions were the highlights of the scientific program. More than 300 oral and poster presentations completed the package. Student incentives such as the mentoring program, a special student night as well as an attractive social program allowed for extensive scientific exchange and socialising.
