Werner Sonnenschein has passed away
The former head of the International Office, Werner Sonnenschein, passed away on 20th December 2017 at the age of 75.
Born on 4th of June 1942 in Haan, he completed his High School in 1962, studied Sport and English at the Universities of Bonn and Munich. His expertise was in the area of national and international sport organisations as well as in Sport and deleopment. For over a decade he was responsible for the department "International" at the Federal Institute of Sport Sciences.
In the 90s Werner Sonnenschein took over the position of head of International at GSU and contributed to many international contacts and projects over the next years. For his efforts and achievements at an international he received the honorary medal of the German Sport University.
