Education/ Professional development

Since 2016:
Research assistant at the ‚Interdisciplinary Centre for Gender Studies‘ (ICFG) at the University of Bern. Field of research: ‚Gender and Development‘ with a particular focus on sports, diversity as well as monitoring and evaluation. 

Since 2014:                   
Project manager of  “Children Win” – Changing the Game of Mega Sporting Events, Terre des Hommes International Federation (TDHIF).

2013:
Ph.D. at the Technical University of Munich on “Sporting Role Models as Potential Catalysts to Facilitate Empowerment and Tackle Gender Issues: An Empirical Study in Malawi, Zambia and South Africa”.

2010 2014:
Research assistant and lecturer at the Institute of Sport Pedagogy at the Technical University Munich.

2005 2011:
Project manager and researcher at the “Swiss Academy for Development" (SAD) in Biel/Switzerland in the area of “Sport and Development”.

2003 2004:
Strategic analyst at the Federal Office of Police in Bern/Switzerland with the  focus: state security, extremism, hooliganism, violence prevention (security concept of the  UEFA EURO 2008).

2002:
Licentiate (Lic. phil.) in Contemporary History and State Sciences at University of  Freiburg/Switzerland with the dissertation topic “The History of Swiss Women’s Football (“Delicate feet on hard leather“)”.
