Keynote: AI and data analysis in sports science studies

[Translate to Englisch:] Univ.-Prof. Dr. Daniel Memmert

On August 28th and 29th, Ruhr-University Bochum (RUB) is hosting the second Learning AID on the topic of learning nalytics, artificial intelligence and data mining in higher education. During the event, questions on the practical use of learning analytics and artificial intelligence in higher education will be explored.

The Learning AID sees itself as one of the central forums for the exchange of information on AI and data analysis in university teaching. In this field, it is important to consider the university as an overall system on the one hand, while on the other hand specific questions, including in the context of student advisory services, data protection, ethics, IT, e-learning, university didactics and teaching-related quality management, need to be clarified. Prof. Dr. Daniel Memmert, Managing Director of the Institute for Exercise Training and Sport Informatics at the German Sport University Cologne will give a keynote speech on the topic of "AI and data analysis in sports science studies" on the second day of the event (29th August, 11:30-12:30). The lecture will provide an overview of the development of AI and data analysis in the context of sports science research and teaching in recent years and use the example of game analysis to illustrate this development with future teaching trends and testing potential. Registration for free participation in the Learning AID is still possible until August 14th.
