This week, the third attendance phase of the "Sports Director in youth and amateur football" certificate programme took place. We were able to welcome a number of expert speakers to our institute for this programme.

On the first day, the two modules Negotiation and Media Competence were presented by selected experts (Dr Bertling [DSHS], Dr Jakobs [DSHS], Martin Bülles [1. FC Köln], Joris Wittkugel [Viktoria Köln], Jonas Boldt [HSV], Dr Weber [DFL] and Dr Niese [DOSB]) from different areas taught in a competent and practical manner, which was just as well received by the participants as it was by the organisers.

The second day certainly had nothing to hide in comparison to the previous day in terms of the speakers. The presentations by Bernhard Seonbuchner (management and coordination of competitive sport) Raquel Rosa (counselling agencies), Fernando Carro (international sports structures), Sebastian Kegel (drawing up training and development plans) and Lea Wippermann (sustainable development) were all very informative and instructive. Above all, all five speakers managed to combine their knowledge with a chat from the sewing box, which made it very varied for the participants.

On the third day, Andreas Hofmann first gave a brief, intensive insight (online) into HUDL's broad product range on the topic of 'Sports Technology Landscape - Trend and the Future of Football', before Dr Felix Boronczyk (Consultant at Nielsen Sports) presented his view of sports sponsorship with very practical examples. Tobi Schäfer (podcaster & moderator) then gave a very clear presentation on the topic of rhetoric and eloquence, before putting the participants through their paces individually in a mock press conference on a pre-defined case study.

The participants went home exhausted but happy with many new impressions after these intensive three days and are hopefully also looking forward to the upcoming final attendance phase IV in September 2024!
