Criteria that helped to get the job |  I actively approached my supervisor during the internship and although they did not have an open position during that time they knew I was interested. Moreover, I think companies/people value a lot when you are working independently, conscientiously and are willing to learn.

General fields of activity | Scientific work/research

Typical daily routine| It is difficult to describe a typical day at work. Some days are full of organisational things, during some days I need to read and screen papers and during others I am planning and conducting measurements and analyzing the results.

Working hours | 40 per week

"Both jobs during my studies allowed me to get insights into possible careers after my studies. Without having too many responsibilities I was able to try new things and figure what I want to do after graduation or even more what I did not want to do. Further, it gave me the opportunity to meet new people and make friends in my field."

"I would like to encourage anyone to go abroad if there is the opportunity for it. You get out of your comfort zone, you meet new people and get to learn new things (and also about yourself). And even if it just means that you figure out that you did not like it that much, you only know after you have done it."
