Department of Biochemistry

The Institute of Biochemistry at the German Sport University Cologne is one of the oldest anti-doping laboratories in the world. The institute’s founder and first director was Prof. Manfred Donike, a pioneer in anti-doping analysis and a member of the IOC Medical Commission.

 

Welcome

The Institute of Biochemistry is the lead member of the Center for Preventive Doping Research (ZePräDo), a key research facility at the German Sport University Cologne. The Manfred Donike Institute for Doping Analysis e.V. is affiliated with the Institute.
