Infopoint – the first point of contact on campus

The InfoPoint is the central point of contact at the German Sport University Cologne. Here, prospective students, current students and visitors can find guidance and answers to general questions about the university. For specific enquiries, the team will quickly direct you to the appropriate contact person or department.

Student Advisory Service – Guidance on studying sports science

The Student Advisory Service is here to help you with any questions you may have about choosing a degree programme, applying to study and organising your studies. It provides prospective students and current students with personalised and confidential advice.


It is also a competent point of contact for personal study planning or if you are looking to change direction in your studies.

Registrar´s office – Applications, Enrolment and Re-registration

Registrar´s office is on hand to assist prospective students with any queries regarding applications, admission and enrolment.
 

Students can also receive support here with matters such as leave of absence, re-registration, de-registration, as well as pension insurance certificates and certificates of duration of study.

The Academy’s team is the right point of contact if you’re looking to further your education – whether it’s a Master´s of advanced studies, short professional development courses in the form of seminars and workshops, or courses exclusively for GSU students.

The Career Service supports students and graduates as they make the transition from university to the world of work.
 

Through counseling services, career events and the Career Fitness Programme, it helps you to develop your career prospects, gain practical experience and build contacts within the sports industry.

Outpatient Department – Medical assistance on campus

The Outpatient Department for Sports Traumatology and Health Counseling is the central point of contact for sports injuries, acute ailments and any queries relating to health and sport. 

It offers students, staff and external patients initial sports medicine care, advice and examinations – including first-year student health checks.

Advice for prospective students and those on teacher training programmes

The Centre for Sports Teacher Training (ZfSb) is the central point of contact for the sports teacher training programme at the German Sport University Cologne. It supports teacher training students from the initial orientation stage right through to their practical placements, and provides advice on the structure of the programme, its organisation and all key issues relating to teacher training.
