The Research Management department at the German Sport University Cologne helps to successfully implement innovative research projects, strengthen interdisciplinary synergies and ensure that scientific findings have a lasting impact – both within our university and beyond. We therefore support our researchers from the initial project idea, through the application and implementation stages, right through to the utilisation and transfer of results into society, the economy and sporting practice. The aim is to create a supportive environment, streamline administrative processes and ensure there is scope for academic creativity.
The Research and Transfer Department serves as the central point of contact and coordination for researchers. Our staff in the Research and Academic Development Department provide advice, support and networking opportunities to researchers on an individual basis and in line with their specific needs. We contribute strategic perspectives, develop solutions collaboratively and provide support in establishing collaborations as well as in accessing national and international funding opportunities. In doing so, we see ourselves as partners in the research process who actively contribute ideas and open up new avenues. The Department of Transfer and Start-up Support is available to assist with any queries regarding transfer funding.
