Whether it’s planning your studies, registering for modules, the Spoho Card or finding your way around campus – here you’ll find all the important information and points of contact you need for a successful start to your studies.
Important: Please always include your name and student number in all enquiries. For IT enquiries, we also need your DSHS ID.
Please Note: This page is updated regularly. Please check back often so you don’t miss any important information or dates.
The DSHS-ID is a personal ID consisting of two letters and four numbers (e.g. “AB1234”). New students will automatically receive an email containing their DSHS-ID and a personalised activation link no later than 48 hours after enrolment (enrolment = receipt of a confirmation email from the Student Registry containing their student number) (PLEASE NOTE! This link is only valid for 7 days!)
The DSHS-ID can be used to access various IT services at Spoho. For example, you log in to the Moodle e-learning system using your DSHS-ID and the corresponding password. You also need your DSHS-ID to use the Wi-Fi at Spoho via Eduroam and to log in to the mySpoho campus management portal.
The Spoho intranet is the central hub for Spoho students and staff. Here, we bring together all the necessary information, documents and forms required for day-to-day student life in one place.

Points of contact for questions or problems:
The orientation tutorials (O-tutorials) are aimed at all first-semester Bachelor’s students (including those on teacher training programmes) and offer support with starting your degree and finding your feet at Spoho itself. During the tutorials, you will receive important information about starting your degree and develop key study-related skills that will make the transition to everyday student life easier. At the same time, you will get to know your fellow students and receive helpful tips from experienced students.
The O-tutorials take place in various groups as two-day face-to-face sessions. Students enrol for the O-tutorials during the first LVB phase.
If you have any queries or encounter any problems during registration (e.g. applicant number or DSHS ID missing), please contact us by email: tutorienprogramm(at)dshs-koeln.de.
