Xenon (ein Edelgas als Dopingsubstanz)
Die Welt Anti-Doping Agentur verbietet ab 1.9.2014 die Edelgase Xenon und Argon.
Nachdem im Frühjahr 2014 bekannt geworden war, dass russische Sportler über Jahre mit Xenon gearbeitet haben, um einen möglichen positiven Effekt auf die Bildung von EPO (Erythropoietin) auszunutzen, womit sportliche Leistungen im Ausdauerbereich beeinflusst werden können, reagierte die WADA unmittelbar.
