Participants’ personal data will be processed exclusively for the purpose of deciding on admission to the event, conducting the event, and for billing purposes. In addition, as part of the registration and participation in an event, we will send necessary information via email to the contact information you provide. The legal basis for this is Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR, i.e., the performance of the contract for participation in the respective event or the implementation of pre-contractual measures taken in response to your request.

Note on photos and video recordings in accordance with the GDPR: During the event, photos and video recordings will be taken for the purposes of public relations, documentation, and reporting (e.g., on our website, on social media, or in print media). By entering the event venue, you agree that you may be depicted in these recordings. If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, please make a conscious effort to avoid entering the areas in front of the cameras or contact the event staff. 

To organize the event, we use external service providers (including subcontractors engaged by these service providers with our consent), such as in the areas of IT (in particular hosting, event platform operation, streaming, support services) as well as registration and payment processing, who provide services to us on a separate contractual basis that may also include the processing of personal data. The get-together will take place on the evening before the symposium at Playa in Cologne, Junkersdorfer Straße, 50933 Cologne, at 7:00 p.m., and attendance is by prior registration only.
