Curriculum Vitae (Kurzvita)

Prof. Dr. Daniel Memmert ist geschäftsführender Institutsleiter und Professor am Institut für Trainingswissenschaft und Sportinformatik an der Deutschen Sporthochschule Köln. Von 2009 bis 2016 war er Institutsleiter am Institut für Kognitions- und Sportspielforschung an der Deutschen Sporthochschule Köln. Im Jahr 2003 promovierte er (Auszeichnung: dvs-Nachwuchspreis, Bronze) und habilitierte sich 2008 an der Elite-Universität Heidelberg (Auszeichnung: DOSB-Wissenschaftspreis, Bronze). 2014 war er Gast-Professor an der Universität Wien. Seine wissenschaftlichen Arbeitsschwerpunkte liegen in der Bewegungswissenschaft (Kognition und Motorik), in der Sportpsychologie (Aufmerksamkeit und Motivation), in der Sportinformatik (Big Data, Mustererkennung und Simulation), in der Kinder- und Jugendforschung, im Bereich der Sportspiel- und Evaluationsforschung sowie in den Forschungsmethoden.

Laut einer öffentlich zugänglichen Datenbank der 200.000 weltweit führenden Wissenschaftler (https://data.mendeley.com/datasets/btchxktzyw/2) steht er im Bereich "Sportwissenschaft" in Deutschland an erster Stelle und weltweit im Bereich "Sportwissenschaft/Experimentelle Psychologie" auf Rang 8. Er hat einen H-index von 61 (i10-index 198) und konnte bislang 6 DFG Projekte im Bereich Informatik sowie 5 DFG Projekte im Bereich Psychologie einwerben. Zudem hat er etliche Forschungsaufenthalte (u. a., USA, Kanada) absolviert, verschiedene Preise gewonnen (u.a. DOSB-Wissenschaftspreis Bronze, Research Writing Award AAHPERD), zahlreiche weitere Drittmittelprojekte im Volumen über 8 Millionen Euro eingeworben (u. a., BISp), arbeitete in internationalen Editorial Boards (u. a. PSE) und publiziert in internationalen Fachzeitschriften. Von 2009 bis 2013 war er Geschäftsführer der asp (Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Sportpsychologie), von 2012 bis 2016 war er Herausgeber der Zeitschrift für Sportwissenschaft (verhaltenswissenschaftlicher Bereich), von 2016 bis 2018 war er Associate Editor (Psychologie) für die Zeitschrift Research Quarterly for Exercise and Sport, von 2017 bis 2021 war er Mit-Herausgeber der Zeitschrift für Sportpsychologie und bis heute ist er stellv. Sprecher der dvs-Kommission "Sportspiele". Er besitzt Trainerlizenzen in den Sportarten Fußball, Tennis, Snowboard sowie Ski-Alpin und ist Herausgeber und Autor von Lehrbüchern zum modernen Fußballtraining. Das Institut für Trainingswissenschaft und Sportinformatik kooperiert mit verschiedenen Fußball-Bundesligisten, der Deutschen Fußball-Nationalmannschaft sowie DAX-Unternehmen und organisiert den ersten internationalen Weiterbildungs-Masterstudiengang „Spielanalyse“.
