2006–2007: Two-semester exchange program in the Master’s program in Sport and Exercise Psychology at the University of San Diego
His research focuses on working memory and executive functions, visual attention, as well as emotions and nonverbal communication (funded by the DFG). A particular focus is on the direct transfer of scientific findings into practice—for example, through training programs on attention control under pressure (e.g., during penalty shootouts), the targeted use of body language for athletes, coaches, and referees, as well as innovative training and continuing education curricula in elite sports.
