Bodies & Committees
Our bodies and committees fulfil key roles in academic self-governance. They provide advice and make decisions in various areas, such as studies and teaching, sustainability, equality, staff matters and university development. Through collaboration between different groups within the university, they contribute to the organisation, quality assurance and further development of our university.

Staff councils
The staff councils at the German Sport University Cologne represent the interests of our staff in the academic, technical and administrative sectors. They advise staff on work-related issues, provide support during personnel and organisational changes, and champion fair working conditions, equal opportunities and health and safety. As elected representative bodies, they promote dialogue between staff and the university management and support a spirit of trust and cooperation within the university.
