Last week, the 39th Annual Conference of the Section on Sports Education was held in Frankfurt, with several members of the institute in attendance. Katrin Strub (“The Influence of Beliefs on the Professional Perspective of (Prospective) Physical Education Teachers”), Alina Kulüke (“The Diversity-Sensitive Professional Perspective of Physical Education Teachers”), and Tim Mössing (“Cooperation Among Physical Education Teachers”) presented their qualification projects at the pre-conference session for candidates. Konstantin Rehlinghaus, together with Lena Gabriel from Humboldt University in Berlin, led a symposium on the professionalization of elementary school teachers who teach physical education as a non-specialty subject. The conference concluded with the handover of the baton to the DSHS, which will host the 40th Annual Conference in Cologne next year jointly through the Institute for Sports Didactics and School Sports (represented by Prof. Sabine Reuker), the Center for Physical Education Teacher Education (represented by Dr. Petra Guardiera), and the Institute for Dance and Movement Culture (represented by Prof. Claudia Steinberg).
