Sport for Refugees Coalition (SFRC)

The institute conducts participatory research into the role of sport in the context of refugees, taking into account the perspectives of refugees. It also expands its range of courses and actively involves students.

ALLSTARS

The project identifies and analyses successful local sports policies with a view to increasing participation in sport among previously under-represented groups and promoting inclusive approaches to ensure fairer development in sport.

ERASMUS+ Integration of Refugees Through Sport (IRTS)

The aim is to bring together the global IRTS community and to strengthen its insights and voice. The main target group is refugees in all their diversity.

Contemporary Witnesses in Sport – A repository of memories about people in sport in North Rhine-Westphalia

The aim of the project is to ensure the long-term preservation of the sporting and cultural heritage of the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia through around 140 video interviews documenting the life stories of (former) athletes and sports officials, and the digital archiving of these interviews.

Social Dialogue in Europe for Professional Sports (SDE Pro Sports)

The SDE Pro Sport project examines social dialogue and the socio-political framework in European professional sport. The aim is to develop a guide to support social partners in shaping and promoting social dialogue.

EMPLOYS: Understanding, Evaluating and Improving Good Governance

The aim of the project is to analyse the employment conditions of athletes in Europe, to evaluate existing structures and to develop specific recommendations for action for policymakers and sports organisations.
